Finally a USB light that is bright enough to work with. This 10 LED light provides plenty unlike most UBS lights with only 1 LED that really only help you hunt and peck. For the money, this is a best bet.

How could it be better? The stiff wire support could be a little stiffer. The best way to position it seems to be over the top if a laptop if your screen isn't too large, leaning against something, or I have figured out how to tie a loopy-knot type thing that allows it to support itself. But, USB light and/or fan people are already used to this weakness. A switch would also have been a good thing. This is really only evident if you have a self powered USB hub or only need it at night; but I have to say it is a pain having to unplug the light whenever I don't need it.

Overall this is an improvement of most previous attempts at USB lighting. It addresses a problem without hurting the wallet and does a great job.

This product simply isn't worth the money. Sure, it's pretty cheap, but if it doesn't work well it doesn't matter how cheap it is!

My problems with this product: the light doesn't cover a very large area, in fact it barely covers my laptop keyboard, the light doesn't stay in position and continually falls, and when adjusting the light it flickers an awful lot.

The idea is nice, but it seems that there are yet to be any decent USB-lights.

Bottom line: Don't bother.

Bought this to be used with my Asus Eee laptop...but have found that any place I have a USB connector...this lamp is more than useful. Even use it with my desktop system when I don't want to heat up the room with the overhead lights.

Plus...the vendor shipped to me over a weekend. Ordered by Friday & was here by Monday afternoon. Am thinking about ordering at least one more.

Both of the 10 LED units I received had defective LED's and I have to pay shipping to send the units back for the replacements.

The problem is they charge almost twice as much as the units cost for shipping!

So, I've already paid $7.95 each for USPS delivery it will cost me $1.34 to send both of them back and ANOTHER $7.95 each for the replacements. Notice how little it will cost me to ship BOTH items back...


Sorry, no way!

I have tried several keyboard lights. None, except this one, can be positioned to light the whole keyboard. This light should be placed along the back of the keyboard, just above the keys, with lights turned down so they don't shine in your eyes. It can remain stable in this position well out of the way of hands, and provides relatively even light across the whole keyboard without glare. It is not perfect, the neck could be stiffer, an on/off switch would be good, and I do not know about durability. One I recieved had one LED not lighting, but the others worked, so they are in parallel. If this had an on/off and stiffer neck, it would get a 5 star.

When it was new, I'd have given it 4.5 stars. Given it stopped working fairly quickly, it merits only 1. Bright, convenient, but not sturdy. Various LEDs stopped working after only a few months despite the fact that it wasn't thrown around. If you're ok with it possibly not lasting very long, while it works it's a great little light.

This is the perfect amount of light for me. Great for being able to see the keyboard at night, with all other lights off, and not blinding, lol. Sufficient amount of light for webcam use also, and doesn't take up table space. Flexible arm makes it easy to point the light anywhere you like. Highly recommended!

I'd give this item 5 stars but for the fact that it's not too sturdy. For one thing, the flex neck is a bit weak -- but then what do you want for a product that is so inexpensive? It would be great if they made another version that was more sturdy, even if it was 2 or 3 times the price.

I use mine when I dim the room lights for TV viewing, and unlike the comparatively expensive Flylight by Kensington, this product gives a wide beam of light so all your keys are lit well, not just a small cluster of bright light over some of your keys.

This is a great inexpensive item for anyone with a laptop or even a desktop PC with a conveniently located usb outlet, like on the back of the keyboard etc.

Another review states that the wire isn't stiff enough to hold up the light, but the one I received is plenty stiff yet flexible. It stays exactly where I put it without a loopy knot.

Would only stay in one position(barely) & allthough the light was fairly bright it quit working in less than 3 months.Not worth sending back-don't waste your money.
