Editorial Reviews

Let another history of mainstream rock unfolds and be a part of it as BAMBOO-the rockstar band behind the phenomenally successful songs "Noypi", "As the Music Plays" and "Mr. Clay"-comes with another-hit-making single dubbed as "Hallelujah" from their latest album called "LightPeaceLove,". "FU" is a song embedded with lyrics charged with socio-political messages. Very soul-ish single "Much Has Been Said," poised as the album's third single which scaled the charts and came in synch with a video directed by Topel Lee. The album's fourth single is the baring "Truth," which is now also poised to be the band's first single to their album to be released in Asia this year. Some tracks include a glimpse of jazz and rock but still with the Bamboo-esque flavor with added instruments to spice up the main entr‚e. Lyrics we always get from Bamboo rotate mainly with political content yet positive and uplifting to our innocence. The album includes 'Dinner at 6', '04', 'I-You', 'Dinner at 6', 'Peace Man', 'Alpha Beta Omega', and 'Children of the Sun' complete the ideals of Light Peace Love. The album attained its gold status in July 2005 then Platinum award in January 2006. Penning anthemic lyrics and fashioning interwoven harmonies that sparked attention with Bamboo's first album "As the Music Plays" under EMI-PolyEast Records in February 2004, these four hard-working and hard-rocking souls namely Bamboo Manalac (vocals), Nathan Azarcon (bassist), Ira Cruz (guitars) and Vic Mercado (drums) will soon again be wowing the crowd with their sophomore album as hits flow one after another await. Bamboo have the brand new taste for young Pinoys to anticipate after the album "As the Music Plays" which now turns to its Double Platinum record award since its release in 2003.The album and its carrier single "Noypi", contributed successfully at the brink among the songs of the generations; bagged numerous awards; gave an unbelievably full-house performances and topped radio charts, now, witness as Bamboo set to rake in another pile of that history --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.
