5.0 out of 5 stars A Blast from the Past, May 3, 2011

I dug one of these little guys up and they are a blast from the past. They were there in the Role-Playing strata, allowing you to hone some skills while trying to live through a book. In this one you are Ren, a young bo living in the future. Death is a way of life because thew world is a throwback and dangerous.

It is the 12th book of the set that TSR pup out, but it is stand-alone when reading. you just read the page then get asked a question, and you have two to three answers you cna give. This allows you to turn to whatever page you asked for, and that determines if you go deeper, die, or get some odd ending.

They are quick and fun , especially if you do not know then. The writing is alright but simplified for people, so you will not have an exotic quest. Still, a quest by the self is an interseting idea. 5/5

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice "choose your own adventure" book, October 17, 2002
This is an ok book, in the beging you [human], and two other youths in your village [demi-humans; lizard & monkey] are chosen to go on a quest to prove your manhood. The quest is to go investigate this mountain where a strange light is showing. There are a lot of bad endings [aka the story ending soon because you didn't choose the right path]. I like the main characters, and I like some of the trouble they get into. In conclusion, this book [and a lot of other CYOA books] would be much better with fewer bad endings.
