About the Author

HORST SONDERMANN is an architect and professor at the HfT Stuttgart School of Architecture. He studied Architecture at the Berlin University of Technology and has taught visual geometry and architectural rendering since 1994. He has specialized on the interplay between CAAD, digital image processing and 3D visualization for many years. He lives and works in Berlin and Stuttgart.

The steps of the tutorials are easy to learn, this book is the chain I am looking for I have read many tutorials from many sources but this book is the best, If u want to learn the light & shadow of C4D in the right way this is the right book.

Something very wrong with the 2010 reprint of this book. The 2008 printing had high-quality full color screenshots. The 2010 one I just received has no color and all of the images are done in low-res gray scale - some look like they were run off on a photocopy machine.

The 2010 edition seems to be just a new printing. It only covers CD4 R10, not the current version, R12. I'm going to return this book.

This is the best and most unique comprehensive guide on the use, manipulation and effect of lighting in Cinema 4D. There is no other book with the level of informative, easy to follow step by step instruction, (with full color photos of the panels) for creating exceptionally realistic lighting both for interior and exterior renders and animations. An essential tool of techniques in the arsenal of a Cinema 4D Master. Highly recommended.
