About the Artist

David began playing guitar at the age of six. High school and college brought many bands and guitar lessons. Around 1987, he studied guitar at Atlanta Institute of Music. Just before David moved to Nashville TN in 1989, he went on a music tour to Helsinki, Finland; Stockholm, Sweden; and Leningrad, Russia. Then, back in Nashville, David pursued his musical career interests by recording an instrumental guitar cassette, with some success. During the next ten years, David played for a multitude of weddings, and also recorded a jazz/rock electric guitar CD titled A Future and a Hope. The year 1999 brought on the production of two more CDs: Light Through the Trees (jazz/classical acoustic guitar music), and Guitar Solo Collection (12 songs of guitar solo pieces, including Baroque, Christmas, hymns, and pop songs).

David’s technical degree in Industrial Technology developed his “left brain” and aided him as a handyman and innovator. A man of many talents, David can also cook and even sew. In summer of 2000, David moved to Colorado Springs and began working at Focus on the Family. Along with enjoying music ranging from Vivaldi to Dave Weckyl to Steve Vai, David enjoys mountain biking and cultural events. As a Christian, he believes that music can paint a non-invasive portrait of life's events, with its hopes and pains.
