5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! What a powerful and life altering book!, October 22, 2009
Reading The Light Won impacted me much more than I had expected it would. I was drawn to the book due to comments a friend had made to me about the book and by the Amazon video. I had high expectations' for the book when I received it. It met those expectations in every way. It is exceptional in its unique format and clarity. I have not read another book that was so clear and concise with an override of `angelic humor'.

I recommend The Light Won to anyone who is looking for some direction in their life or for anyone who simply wants to understand better how to connect with the angelic realm.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Light Won -- Book Review, September 6, 2009
This review is from: The Light Won: A Tutorial in Co-Creation (Paperback)
I will admit to experiencing some hesitation when presented with the new release The Light Won: A Tutorial in Co-Creation. I hardly consider myself well-versed in the areas of spirit guides, angels, and other concepts involving a connection with another realm. Would I be able to understand a genre with which I was so unfamiliar? Would I find these ideas so foreign to my beliefs and the way that I operated in my own attempts at self-improvement? I always have had an academic interest in the study of philosophy and how it brings people a sense of self and their place in our greater society. So, I decided to approach my reading of The Light Won with the same intellectual curiosity. As I progressed through the book, I found that my comfort level with the material increased and I was making the connections that the author stated as her hope for her readers.

The Light Won: A Tutorial in Co-Creation is written from the perspective of The Angelic Realm and all of the elements and energies that exist within it. The purpose of the book is to encourage those of us in the physical realm to push ourselves out of our comfort zones and open our minds to a new set of beliefs. Author Barbara Joye, who is a Soul Connection therapist and Intuitive Re-invention Life Coach, explains that most of us live in a world that focuses on false divisions that comprise "The Game of Duality." Examples of these earthly splits include good and evil, right and wrong, and even the supposed state of alienation between the Light of the Creator and the Darkness put forth by Lucifer. Joye lets her readers know that the Light has already won and that these labels of opposition we place on the entities within our safe, controlled environment are unnecessary restrictions on our potential. This idea resonated with me immediately. I clearly see how we allow our creativity and potential for joy to be limited by our fears of anything different.

As Joye guides her readers through the five steps of shifting life beliefs, which lead to the confidence in our ability to participate in co-creation and the acceptance of ourselves as unique and exceptional beings, she does so with a writing style and layout of content that makes the information accessible to every reader. She leaves physical space after each point of reflection or moment of emphasis as a way of letting her readers know that they need to stop and allow themselves to sit with their thoughts. Joye also uses conversational language to develop a sense of relationship with those who are holding the book. She asks each of us such questions as, "Can you even imagine?" and "Would it be better to truly co-create the life you desire?" Her writing requires full engagement from the reader. Each person will feel as if The Light Won had been written specifically to address their own desires and fears.

Anyone who has been searching for how they fit in with the greater energy and entities of our universe, or who simply want to find more meaning and fulfillment in their own lives, will find The Light Won: A Tutorial in Co-Creation a wonderful guide through the process of discovery. Barbara Joye is known by her clients as The Shift Guru, as she assists them in shifting their beliefs. The author's desire to see her fellow travelers find deeper connections and relationships with one another and the spirit world made for a wonderful and stirring book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing and Insightful !, January 23, 2010
This review is from: The Light Won: A Tutorial in Co-Creation (Paperback)
What important and helpful messages The Light Won has! I very much appreciate being reminded in this book about how our beliefs have such a huge impact on our lives and that it's possible for us to shift them to create positive changes for ourselves. I've been on the spiritual path for 12 years now, and I've not come across a book like this that offers such a refreshing way of presenting its messages! Interlaced throughout is a wonderful sense of humor the angels share, as well as the format, which encourages the reader to really contemplate what is being read. The messages that are offered are wonderfully insightful and soulful. I highly recommend reading this book for it can, among other things, encourage you and assist you in realizing that positive change and shifts can occur.

5.0 out of 5 stars Power (and Fun) in a Small Package, November 3, 2009
This review is from: The Light Won: A Tutorial in Co-Creation (Paperback)
Too many "spiritual" books take themselves much too seriously and, in the end, don't give much more than inspiration - if that. The Light Won provides a good dose of inspiration, and also provides real and usable guidelines on shifting beliefs, habits, and actions. I found the belief continuum described in the book to be very useful, indeed -- our beliefs (often sub-conscious#, the positions we take in life #based on the beliefs), and the mentalities we use to describe them. Numerous examples make it relatively easy to picture how the concepts can be applied by the reader. I say "relatively easy" because shifts like we are invited to make are life-changing and often not at all easy.

The Light Won's casual writing style has the feel of a conversation between friends, complete with occasional teasing remarks. The co-author doesn't identify the members of the Angelic Realm working with her. However, there seem to be at least two very different voices speaking. At times they even seem to be engaged in friendly debate - one with a very bullet-point approach and the other more expansive.

I frequently found myself chuckling, while at the same time acknowledging that the point being made very much described my life. I was also occasionally moved to tears as it brought to mind the beliefs I have in my life that limit my living and potential. It is clear that the co-author has lived some of the beliefs mentioned due to her insight and observations. It seemed to me that she has been where I am now and has found the way, partnering with the Angelic Realm, to create a much more dynamic and joy filled life.

I am finding that the examples and concepts in The Light Won come to mind as I go about my daily life. And as I practice the concepts and ideas reflected in the book, I find life to be easier and more empowering. The Light Won is changing my life. It might change yours as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smiling positive energy!, November 1, 2009

This review is from: The Light Won: A Tutorial in Co-Creation (Paperback)
The book, The Light Won, is so delightfully diffferent in its approach to shifting our lives that it took me by surprise a bit. I was expecting a more normal format of simply marching along with the realities of a life and how those realities can be shifted. Instead, The Light Won took me to places I had never conceived of before and linked those places, those concepts, those ideas with the life I am now living. It was like seeing my life through the "march of time" and, in this seeing, to be able to understand what beliefs may not be supporting me and my life at this time.

I recommend The Light Won to anyone who is not delighted with their life, in any way shape or form; to anyone who wishes they had more in their life; and to anyone who is looking for the answer to why they are living the life they are living. Whether you decide to make the changes in youdr life or not, this is the book to read to allow you to consider what your life might be like if you did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hooray for 'The Light Won'!, October 28, 2009
This review is from: The Light Won: A Tutorial in Co-Creation (Paperback)
`The Light Won' is truly an extraordinary book. While reading it, I knew I was tapping into something profound--through the concepts and practical examples but also through the empowering code embedded in the spaces between the words. I believe it is in the spaces that Spirit really speaks to each reader.

Some people I know who have read it said that the book is not an easy read. True--simple concepts but not easy. 'The Light Won' exposes so many of the limiting beliefs that we hold as a society (or I hold as an individual) and offers a new way of perceiving the world and of living life. Change is not always easy--even when it's necessary. Good thing The Angelic Realm has a great sense of humor!

I highly recommend this book if you are looking to connect with your greater wisdom. I also recommend that the reader be prepared to read a few pages at a time to allow the information in those pages to seep into their lives. This amazingly powerful book co-authored by Barbara Joye and the Angelic Realm has been an important part of my daily spiritual practice. Thank you!
