This is, without a doubt, one of the most interesting and fascinating books I've read in ages. I was thrilled to read it, did not want to put it down, and have been left thinking about it. I thought I would be able to read about these characters from a distance but, in spite of their unique personalities, I was reminded of the commonalities of all of us under the sun. It was great to share their determination at recovering lost things and experience the tawdry end of a love affair. I highly suggest this book to reading groups; it would yield a lively discussion. Am definately looking for more Maggie Gee titles! Well done!
