Editorial Review
Waiting at an intersection for a train to cross will never be quite as fun as at the Light and Sound Level Crossing, another nifty module in the Wooden Railway system by Swedish toymaker BRIO. This component, which blends elegant beechwood construction with battery-powered sound and lights, makes a novel addition to your existing BRIO Wooden Railway layout. With its section of characteristically grooved track, the crossing activates its two flashing light standards and clanging warning bells when triggered by either the magnetic couplings in BRIO vehicles or by young engineers pushing a button on the battery box (two AAs not included). Painted touches include strips of two-lane street on each side of the track, and even a little patch of garden.
