I received a light wedge as a gift and since then, have given two as gifts. It is useful for reading as a passenger in a vehicle, at concerts in the park at night or in bed with the lights out so others can sleep. It frees one from having to sit where there is adequate light for reading. It is portable with a protective case for traveling. Not only does it provide a reading light but serves as a book marker when in use.

This light wedge was scratched when I received it. It doesn't give as much light as is really needed for good reading. I wouldn't recommend it.

I purchased this for my Kindle DX. It came with a little velvet looking zipper soft case in black. The light works well and I will use it, and have. The black leather case on the Kindle, the black case for the LightWedge, and the black sleeve for my netbook should not be noticeable in my bag when I travel. I do like having the items in a protective cover.

It certainly adds to the weight of the Kindle. It lies on top of the Kindle. Because of its size, I have to scoot it to the left to turn the page. The light it distributes is very dim. It will work fine, I believe, on overseas flights when the cabin is dark and others are fortunate enough to sleep on planes.

However, for those who read in bed beside their spouse, it should work well. I have tried reading it with the bedroom light off and I managed well. Fortunately, my spouse falls into a deep sleep in less than two minutes after his head hits the pillow.

I bought it with a birthday gift certificate and I do not regret it.

This is a very nice quality cover. It has a sort of "velvety" feel to it. All the LightWedge covers have a bit of a snug fit, so sometimes our kids need help using them. These types of covers are mostly to prevent scratching; they don't have padding for heavier protection. But that's what we bought this for, so we were very happy with it.

This item is really for reading while sitting up. I like to read in bed and it does not work well. You have to hold it next to page you are reading and flip it over to the next page which is more work than it is worth. A book light is just more practical.

My husband reads to fall asleep, so we have tried many different booklights! This is by far the best booklight ever for reading in bed with the light off. Buy a battery charger and rechargeable batteries, and you're set for many nights of reading! Travels well, too! If you turn off the booklight when you are ready to go to sleep, the batteries will last for weeks. The spouse leaves his on most of the time and the batteries still last quite a while before we have to recharge them. The cover is a good option because the light can get scratched. It's best to leave the light inside the book as a bookmark to protect it from scratches on a daily basis.
