This year I found myself putting up an extra Christmas tree and found that I needed a new topper. We've purchased rotating bases for our trees so that they slowly spin while the tree is lit. The effect is great and seems to bring new life to the holiday tree. Additionally, if you have pets, a spinning tree will help to prevent the kitties or the puppies from getting too curious. Anyway, with the extra spinning tree it was important that I find a 3-D topper that would look good from all sides. This was EXACTLY what I was looking for.

The topper comes disassembled. When I first opened the box, I was a bit disappointed and expected that I wouldn't be happy with the result. All of the pieces are plastic and it really looks fairly cheap. However, once the pieces are assembled (which takes only minutes) the end result is amazing. With the provided bulb it produces a nice, warm glow that's even throughout the star. You don't see any cords, light bulbs or sockets, and the product actually looks pretty stylish. The size is perfect for my full-sized 7-foot tree, too.

Three dimensional lighted tree toppers are hard to find... if you're looking for one, this is the best I could find and I have no regrets and would definitely order it again. Happy Holidays!

This tree topper is viewable on all sides--there is no "backside". My concern is that the plastic isn't as pretty as I'd like it to be. Still, it is the best I found with both size and pretty on all sides.

This Moravian star is a brightly lit top for the Christmas tree. For me, it's a little too bright. It's so bright that you can even see the snaps where each point is assembled. You won't see that in the picture here on Amazon. It has two openings at the bottom. One is taken up by the cord that easily reaches any outlet you have near the top of your tree. There is a stick and several ties are included. The ties of course are used to hold the star and stick to the tree. However, you want to get it right the first time because there is no undoing of the ties without scissors. That is how I went through four of them. I also recommend that you do not use this for small trees or skinny trees as it will dominate the tree to the detriment of the other decorations.

Assembly was easier to do than the instructions were to read, and I'm satisfied they were kind enough to offer pictures as part of the directions. The points are sharp enough that I don't recommend they be assembled near couch cushions or pillows.

These pieces of plastic might be worth $5.00 but definitely not worth $30.00. I gave this two stars for the reasons stated above and because when I looked at it, all I could think of was "B'ah! Humbug!
