A great idea, but I'd really prefer the whole leash light up, that is what I originally thought this was. Only the portion near the handle lights up, the rest is a regular leash.

I am often out walking at 5am in the morning, some of the places I walk have no street lights, I thought this leash would help people see me since I often walk in neighborhoods with driveways and people are leaving for work in the morning hours. The leash itself is good. It is bright and you can defintely be seen. However, after only having the leash for a few months, I have replaced the batteries once already. The leash is only used 4 times a week for about an hour each time. Lately, however, I have the darndest time turning it on or off. I've even had to take the batteries out to get the leash to turn off no matter how hard I pressed on the off/on button. (and getting the batteries in and out isn't easy either). Unfortunately, it has become too problematic to use at this point. I will just buy a standard reflective leash and hope for the best.
