A Long Time Coming,
By
This review is from: Lighter Touch (Audio CD)
First let me say that anything with Robin and/or Barry Dransfield is worth having in your collection. Solo albums are great. Duo and band albums are even better. This is the first time this album (originally entitled "Tidewave") has been available on CD, and the first time in decades that it has been available at all. For this re-release a second disc has been added containing a complete live concert.
Robin has a fine voice and, excellent delivery and great taste in choosing material. Anyone interested in British Isles folk music should have this disc.

One of the Finest Folk Albums Ever,

This review is from: Lighter Touch (Audio CD)
The 1980 release was entitled "Tidewave". I was fortunate to have one of the few copies in the USA. And I dearly cherished it. But now it's available in glorious cd clarity.
The concert disk is wonderful, and really gives you the feeling of being in a 70s folk club. The packaging is first rate with an excellent 20 page booklet filled with info and photos. But the real thrill here is disc one; The re-release of "Tidewave" in pristine cd sound. Bless you HUX Records!
