This review is from: Lighthouse Keepers & Coast Guard Cutters: Heroic Lighthouse Keepers and the Coast Guard Cutters Named After Them (Paperback)
This book doesn't even deserve one star. It had 156 errors -- spelling, punctuation, inconsistency, and errors in fact. When I find that many errors in a book that is only 260 pages long, I'm appaulled. Granted, every book has a few errors, but this one is ridiculous. It's inattention to detail and lazy. And if I can pick out 3 factual errors that I know of, then how many others might there be? His credibility is shot and I'll never buy another Stonehouse book. Do the public a favor and make sure this review is seen.

Decent book. I would have given them double the price for glossy pages and a hard cover. The information is excellent but the black and white photos are dark and hard to see. Most of the book is about the keeper's lives with a photo of the ship named for them being launched. The last chapter is about the shipyard and the ships themselves.
