Book Description

May 2004
Mysteries spanning 60 years, four strange seemingly unrelated events, and a small fortune up for grabs twist together in Lighthouse Paradox.

1943

Something is stolen in Philadelphia that so little value, the theft is never suspected. Today, sixty years later, it is worth more than 16 million dollars.

1953

On November 24th, 6:22pm, an F89C is scrambled from Kincheloe Air Force Base with two USAF officers on board. It's mission: to pursue an unidentified flying object and make contact. The chase leads the jet to a point approximately 160 miles northwest of Sault Sainte Marie, over Lake Superior. Shown on a radar screen at Truax Air Force Base, the two blips merge together and disappear. The jet and officers are never found.

1959

On February 22nd, 5:05pm, a Captain flying his personal Piper Supercruiser en route to Kincheloe Air Force Base disappears. His disappearance results in the largest manhunt in Michigan history to that date. Neither the plane nor the pilot is ever seen again.

Present Day

Off the coast of Michigan's Upper Peninsula exists an island so tranquil, it is known as the Gem of the Huron, so peaceful, that islanders rarely lock their doors. In the small town seclusion of Drummond Island, a local resident is the victim of a brutal murder.

4.0 out of 5 stars real good book, July 12, 2004
By
This review is from: Lighthouse Paradox (Paperback)
I was to Drummond about 6 years ago golfing and realy had a good time with co-workers, but I didn't do much but golf. I wish I had. I wish I would have met the people or ones like them in this book. The opening chapters grabbed me and once I got through chapter four there was no stopping. Does anyone know if there is a second book coming? Title? I need to know an answer to a question! I normally do not do this in fact this is my first review! I gave it 4 stars because in my mind 5 would be perfect and what is? But I truly enjoyed it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book I've read in years..., July 2, 2004

I couldn't put the book down! The women are strong, the mystery just keeps going... and there are so many hidden layers. For first time authors, this is just sensational! Heck, for anyone-- this is just awesome. Its like Nicholas Sparks meets Stuart Woods. Fantastic story line, intrigue, great setting... I know I'm just going to have to go visit Drummond Island and hang out at the Northwood.

One character in particular, Jill Traynor, I am just totally impressed with. She's smart as a whip, and she's does construction work! I've got my whole family reading the book-- and I just know they'll all LOVE it.

I can't wait to see another book from this duo! Yahoo!

5.0 out of 5 stars Moving, July 2, 2004
This review is from: Lighthouse Paradox (Paperback)
Lighthouse Paradox is the story of mystery, murder and what true solidarity is all about within a small community.

The characters will move you to tears with joy and sadness as you become part of their lives and the community they are so fortunate to be a part of.

This mystery is truly a novel that will take you from the beginning and hold you there until the last page is turned and the mystery is solved.

This father and daughter team have proven that working together (through research, ideas, writing) on an indepth process as this book can only be done with excellence.

What a truly gifted relationship this father and daughter writing team must have.
