Yeah, it's only three tracks (and a video), but believe me, it's worth the money. The radio edit of Lighthouse's Tale is completely inessential, but no Nickel Creek collection is complete without the only officially released Nickel Creek live tracks, which are contained on this CD. Sean's Let It Fall is beautiful, and well worth hearing in the Nickel Creek setting, as opposed to the equally good setting of his solo album. But, the highlight, and the reason you need to own this CD, is the live take on The Fox. It is a staggering, blistering bluegrass breakdown, incorporating a furious tempo, stellar solos from all members (including the touring bassist), and most notably, Subterranian Homesick Blues by Bob Dylan folded seamlessly (and flawlessly) into the middle of the song. The playing on this track crosses the line from inspired to brilliant, and the interplay between the band is unbelievably tight, especially considering the speed at which they are playing. I bought this simply to complete my Nickel Creek collection. But, instead of being simply collection filler, it turned out to be an essential release. I sincerely hope that there is a live album in Nickel Creek's future, because listening to this gave me a thrill like I haven't gotten in a very long time.

I sit on a Sissel exercise ball instead of a chair at work. When I listen to the live version of "The Fox" I bounce around so much that I have actually fallen backwards.

The studio version of the fox is neat. The live version is a masterpiece of blazingly fast yet crisp delivery. The band seems to have all crawled into one another's skins for the duration of the piece---their playing is supernaturally tight. Their comments at the end of the song have that shaky incredulous giggling tone that any musician can recognize. It happens when you get to the end of a piece that came out so perfect that you feel almost as though you were possessed during it. Thank goodness someone was recording during this performance!

The live versions of 'The Fox' and 'Let It Fall' are awesome!! I would highly recommend this cd to any of those who appreciate live music and/or those two songs! :-D
