Susan Roark Hoyt is a writer and lighthouse historian. She is a member of the Association for Great Lakes Maritime History and spends her summers boating on the Great Lakes, researching and photographing lighthouses. As a companion to her first book, Lighthouses of Southwest Michigan, this book completes the history of lighthouses on Lake Michigan's eastern shore.
