I waited 6 months to acquire this tape and it was worth the wait in gold! I have been listening to it day and night since I purchased it some weeks ago. It's one of Melody's best and I can't understand why it went out of print / circulation.
I have recommemded it to many and it would be sad that no one can buy it anymore due to it being out of print. Please, please, put it back in print again! It is so useful to codependents. I learn so much and something different each time I listen to it. It's soothing, calming and helpful.
Thanks Melody!

This tape is so beautiful! The sound effects are beautiful, the background music is beautiful, Melody's voice is beautiful. The text is beautiful. I wish this were available on CD.
This is a meditation on the 12 Steps, adapted for recovery from codependency. Melody leads you through a garden that is symbolic of your heart. She talks about being assertive and the fact that "the fight is in you"; in other words, the difficulty you are feeling is not coming from the outside world but from within yourself. "Surrender," Melody says, "just as the branches of the tree bow to the winds."
"You are powerless over others, but you aren't powerless."
"You thought you had to fight the world to survive. You DID have to fight it to survive. Now you're learning a better way."
At the end of the tape, Melody says something very reassuring, "Now that we have come to the end of the 12 Steps, you can go back to step one. You aren't going back to the beginning; you're going deeper into your process."
I have listened to this tape so many times, and it has helped me so much. It helps take the listener to a comforting place of endless compassion and imagination. Sitting in the garden with Melody, what a peaceful image that is.

I originally had this tape years ago. I loved it! But having moved throughout the ensuing years, I lost or misplaced it. I am so glad to have found it here to replace it. This is the BEST meditation/self help audio cassette there is. I have purchased many tapes throughout the years but none have ever come close to capturing the magic of this one. Melody's voice strikes the perfect tone, the back round music is soft and fitting with the twelve steps. The first time I bought this I wasn't in a twelve step program, but still found it reassuring and contemplative to listen to. Now I am working the steps, and remembering how wonderful this audio tape was I made it a point in trying to acquire another copy. I wish they would re-issue it. I know many friends who would be interested in owning a copy. I found her reference to the steps as working with nature particularly profound. The way she describes pruning back the old growth to make room for new growth so the roots could grow deeper is a beautiful way for the mind to grasp the concepts she explores. I never get tired of listening to this tape unlike the many other meditation/self help items there are on the market. Thank You Melody!
