I expected more information, specifically on modeling, composition, and greater detail in lighting technics. Also, it would have been handy if it included (with pictures) different techniques to overcome physical shortcomings. Unfortunately, not everyone looks beautiful in a two-piece bikini. The book is limited by having 128 pages and 15 photographers profiled. Next time dedicate 150 pages with the input of five top photographers.

Norman Phillips is one of professional photographry's legendary portrait artists. This book is richly illustrated with not only his exceptional images but those of other industry legends like Monte Zucker and Michael Ayers.
The lighting diagrams make it easy to replicate the wonderful pictures in the book. This is a helpful guide for both the beginner and seasoned pro.

A bit disappointed,

I had high hopes for this book but was sadly disappointed. I feel that the book is more of a blog on various photographers and what they do than on posing. There are pictures but very little explination of the poses, why and how. I have never returned a book to Amazon but there is a first time for everything and will be requesting a return ticket in a few moments.

Photographing Women - Norman Phillips,

This review is from: Lighting and Posing Techniques for Photographing Women (Pro Photo Workshop) (Paperback)
The book shares with its reader the thoughts and expertise of fifteen photographers, including those of the author, Norman Phillips One feature of the book I particularly liked was the use of diagrams to illustrate the lighting techniques used by the photographer. Increasing the number of diagrams would make the book even better. Another major positive is the variety of models and the variety of poses. If you need an idea for new ways to pose your favorite model and/or you want to expand your knowledge of lighting possibilities, this is the book for you.

Great book!,

The negative reviews.....again, I don't quite understand them. But THAT is what makes this country great. ;-)
Another great resource book. Topics like studio lighting as well as natural lighting are covered. This book does a nice job of helping the reader think about poses from Weddings to business casual shots. It covers a lot and is a great deal at the price. Buy a copy!
