Book Description

When the sun takes 16 years to cross the sky, the night lasts just as long. As twilight approaches, entire kingdoms must scramble to stay ahead of the lasting darkness and the creatures that live there. It's easy for things to go missing in the chaos--and it's Chief Tracker Vickory Carroway's job to find them.

But not all things are created equal. The king's daughter Dalia has run away. It's believed she's traveled to the Lightless--and if Vickory can't bring her home, he'll be executed. In desperation, he enlists the help of Tom Raquepaw. Outlaw. Sorcerer. And the only man known to have traveled to the Lightless and made it back alive.

They won't have long to track Dalia down. Spend more than a couple weeks in the darkness, and you can never touch sunlight again. If they can't find her in the next few days, Dalia will be lost to the Lightless forever.

Lightless is a novella of about 60 pages.

5.0 out of 5 stars ANYTHING by Edward W Robertson is now a MUST READ ... October 27, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
ANYTHING by Edward W Robertson is now a MUST READ to me. I have never met the man, but I can safely guess that his head must be at least twice the normal size. Imagination such as his could simply not be contained in a regular sized brain. Some Authors can "take you there" when you read their work. EWR not only takes me there, but I can taste. smell, and feel his stories as well. Lightless takes you on a journey you won't soon forget, and if you don't give it a try, you are doing yourself an injustice. Sheer enjoyability! (SIC).

5.0 out of 5 stars Mr. Robinson is on my short list of favorite authors. September 17, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Edward Robinson's short stories are as engrossing and fun to read as his multi book series are. In "Lightless", he creates an interesting fantasy world unlike anything you have likely encountered before, but manages to do so in a way that seems totally believable. As I have said before, if you haven't given this author a try, you owe it to yourself to do so. You won't be disappointed.
