It has been over a month and I still have not received this CD. The package arrived empty and all of my attempts to contact Amazon and the seller through email and comments have fallen on deaf ears...I wish I could tell you how great the CD is but alas, I have no idea.

This album is a selection of songs by Anugama that were chosen to enhance relaxation. At 74 minutes long, this stout CD makes use of classical guitar, flamenco guitar, steelstring guitar, Hawaiian slide guitar, recorder flute, electronic flutes, traverse flute, native American flutes, shakuhaji flute, keyboards and native American drums. The songs vary quite a bit in sound & style, so it's never boring. Yet it's always relaxing. I'm a massage therapist, and this is one of my favorite CD's to use in the office.

This is a wonderful collection of exotic and other worldly instrumentals which seems to take you on a meditative journey to other lands and who knows where! I use it alot while teaching yoga. Seems to fit that blend of slow movement, breathwork, and meditation that my students need.

My first Anagama CD The Lightness of Being was an excellent introduction to this soothing music. I have since purchased several other albums and find each one to be better than the last.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly beautiful, September 25, 2005

Anugama is absolutly beautful, truly. But that's just me. I can mainly tell about mt fav. Eternal Traveller and The Empty Sky. Don't get me wrong cause the others a great but i prefer these two over all. "Eternal Traveller" is truly amazing so soft, quiet, mystical and just b-e-a-utiful! I absolutly love that song, but again, hey....that's just me. It's like when you wake up early (5:00am or so) or real late at night and you go outside, your standing by a big field with lake and it's real foggy or misty with just a small hint of light to see it all. That gorgeius veiw with the mountains in the background. Real warm but too warm nor too cool, crickits and leaves gently blowing can be heard in the distance. (If your even a little into this) You get a warm tingly feeling in your heart thats spreads all over your body. This atmosphere mixed with this music then gives a chill that makes you smile a little. That's what this song is like. Listening to this song eyes closed or not you just fade off into the music. I highly recamend this cd to anyone who's into the New Age music, or get the feelings like the one above. "The Empty Sky" is great too, but it seems like it's a sequal too Eternal Traveller that's all. I still love though. Sorry this message was so long peoples, can'nt help myself sometimes. But i would get if I were you(even though I'm not) cause it's truly worth it!

This is my forth CD by Anugama. I love this one the most. While I appreciate the long lenth of the tracks on the Shamanic cd's, this beautiful mix of music can not be beat.

I carry alot of stress in my shoulders, thus I get massages a few times a month. I have started bringing this cd in with me and asking they play this rather than the spa's regular music. Its THAT wonderful.

I love this CD. I love the space it creates, which is transcendant, peaceful, cosmic and moving. Its a space we all would want if we knew about it, and its as simple as playing this CD by Anugama. I highly recommend it to you who are seeking an alternative type of music that can stir the deepest parts of our soul.

I loved this cd so well that I wore out the tape and had to buy a new one. This time I bought the cd. The music is contemplative without being too loud for proper meditation. The selections are flowing and bring continuity to the cd without being repetitious or boring. Excellent tape for meditation.

I realize [now] that Anugama has been out there for many years. However, as a 60's R&B, Rockn, Rock, folk, jazz, clasical afficienado, I was unaware that there was authentically performed, composed, and enjoyable "New Age' music out there. This is it. If money were no object, I'd buy all the Anugama CDs. But I think this one is the best, though I only sampled the other CD's on-line. Not just white noise, I had friends in their late 20's, 30's actually ask me what was playing when I had it in my main stereo during a party, not just the sleepy bedroom mimi-stereo. They could dig it. It's multifaceted music. Roger

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavenly Music, November 7, 2009
This review is from: The Lightness of Being (Audio CD)
Listening to this album is pure pleasure, a journey to a heavenly place far from the maddening rush of Western society. Paradise in a small plastic disc. A collection of instrumental compositions written specifically for relaxation or meditation, all performed by Werner Hagen better known as Anugama , a superbly talented instrumentalist who plays guitar, keyboard, synthesizer, recorder, flute, slide guitar, and hand drums. The rear cover liner notes say he is "magically talented" and that is not hyperbole. Don't overlook or procratinate buying this or other albums by Anugama. The price you pay is tiny compared to the joy you will receive.

I ask myself how I neglected listening to such a talented musician who has released at least 12 albums for the Nightingale label in Germany which has an office in Tucson AZ.

Musicians and audiophiles who desire specific information, will be impressed to learn that Werner plays classical guitar built by Joaquin Garcia of Valencia, Spain; Flamenco guitar by Kenny Hill of the United States; steelstring guitar by James Godall of Hawaii; Hawaiian slide guitar by National; electronic flute by Akai; silver flute by Gemeinhardt; Native American flutes by Larry Spieler; Shakuhacki flute by Ken La Cosse; Recorder flute by Moek and Mollenhauer; and Native American Indian drums by Joe Roberts. Also, he plays various Roland and Korg synthesizers plus variouus Lexicon and Roland effects keyboards.

If you seek a sanctuary then this is a great album. Metalheads need not bother.
