I love how this set was scheduled on the lightning deals list for 2am this morning (11/30/13), showing that it was going to be 67% off the price $139.99. Then, it mysteriously disappeared from the scheduled deals sometime after 11pm, only to appear as today's deal with a a discount off of a marked up price point. I can't be the only customer who noticed... Lame.
I'm with you, why go online to buy. When you pull up the cache and see the original amount wasn't $299 you realize they jack up the price to claim the discount is larger. If I want to pay for an item that has been falsely discounted, I may as well go to a brick and mortar store. At least there I can usually find some kind of coupon or discount that impacts more than just what they're claiming it discounts, or get reward points for buying on their zone plan in conjunction with credit card points.
