This is a very well-written and very well-organized introduction to the Waffen-SS.

The text includes a wide variety of photos that enhance the reader's understanding of the birth, growth, and demise of this feared organization.

The text includes a couple of errors in assessment of certain matters which I do not care to dwell on except to state that they prevent a five-star rating. Nonetheless, the book is an excellent starting point for anyone wanting to learn about the Waffen-SS.
