I bought this GREAT book for my grandfather, Dewey Baker, who was a member of the 78th 'Lightning' Division in WWII. He learned a great deal of the division's history and saw several pictures of places he had been both before and after the war. I don't believe there is a better book out there about the 78th.
For months after having received the book, he would call me to want me to come over so that I could see something he had told me about in years past. This book really opened the lines of communication between he and I concerning his time in WWII. It's a very nice shelf book, well bound, the pictures are all of good to great quality in both b/w and color. There's a history of the division dating back to the civil war though most of the book concentrates on WWII. |
