Gregory Maguire came to my elementary school in the late 1970s and read to our class from this book. I immidiatly read The Lighting Time and Daughter of the Moon. I think I was eight. Gregory Maguire came to my elementary school in the late 1970s and read to our class from this book. I immidiatly read The Lighting Time and Daughter of the Moon. I think I was eight. I absolutly loved the books. Fantastic and immaginative. Alsolutly perfect for children with bright minds. This book started me off on a lifetime of reading wonderful books. I have been looking for this book, since forgetting the author, for some time. I am sorry it is out of print, but good to see it mentioned on Amazon. Thank you for ending my search.
