Great Blacklight,

The Blacklight itself is very good, 5 Stars. The only reason I docked a star is because of the price. I got a few similar blacklights at K-Mart for 10 bucks less. If money doesn't matter get these, they're great. If you want to save a few bucks check out department stores,

The first image is misleading,

I ordered this item because of the first picture shown. THAT IS NOT WHAT IS SUPPLIED. Make sure you look at the other images that shows it in the plastic wrapper. What is supplied in the plastic wrapper is a regular black light flourescent with no backing on one side as shown in the picture. Amazon need to remove the first image as this is misleading.

Good blacklight for occasional use,

As a young person living in a college town, owning a blacklight for parties is a must! I bought this one for just $10, so be sure to shop around a bit before you purchase yours. The light itself is pretty good. We have quite a large living room, and once plugged into the wall, this light definitely gave a distinct bluish purple glow to all of the white objects in the room. At 2 ft across, it's actually a rather big light for the price. However, if you're looking for a blacklight to illuminate the whole room rather than accent it, you might want to buy a more expensive one. As far as the workmanship goes, it's not the greatest, but it should work just fine for the occasional party. The plastic casing is very lightweight, and there are small scratches and imperfections along it, but none of this seems to affect the light itself. Also, the blacklight comes with screws for hanging it, and it has an on/off switch which is a nice touch. To sum it up: PROS: * Works well, even in a large room * On/off switch * Screws for mounting it CONS: * Cheap plastic casing
