I only wished I had picked up on Suicidal Tendencies when I was younger. Better late than never, though.

"Light...Camera...Revolution" must be included among metal's finest moments. Yet simply calling it a metal album would be doing this album a massive injustice. It incorporates punk, rock, and frontman Mike Muir's clever lyrical content. Its tight metal sound, perfect riffing, and seering solos from guitarist Rocky George make this disc all the more special.

If you claim to be a fan of metal, puck, or rock music in general, this is an imperative addition to your collection, as is their self-titled album and "How WIll I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Smile Today." ST's 1999 album "Freedumb" is also worth checking out.

Cyco Miko and his crew go off on Lights, Camera, Revolution and the results are nothing short of a metal masterpiece. The first three tracks are probably the strongest that the band has ever strung together. You Can't Bring Me Down is an anthem that completely jump starts the album in true cyco fashion. Mike Muir's intensity and lyrics have never been better: "...you wouldn't know crazy if Charles Manson was sitting on your front porch eating a bowl of fruit loops..." Lost Again continues to be one of my all time favorite Suicidal songs with a killer guitar riff and great lyrics, it's a headbanger's paradise. Alone is a little slower and captures the essence of Muir's lyrics...depression, isolation, and hatred. Lovely is a funkafied classic that sounds as if it could have been included on any one of the Infectious Grooves albums. For anyone who thinks that Robert Truillo(sp?) is not one of the best metal bassists, I urge you to listen to this track. Give it Revolution is the heart of the album and rocks hard. Muir seems right at home preaching about bringing down the current infrastructure of America. Send Me Your Money is really another Infectious Grooves track packaged as a Suicidal song. It is a harsh condemnation of tele-evangelists and their ability to pry money from hard working citizens. Get Whacked and Emotion #13 are the weakest tracks on Lights but they are still far above average metal. Disco's Out, Murder's In is a classic Suicidal track, a fast paced assault on the senses as is Goin' Breakdown. Taken as a whole this is undoubtedly the most consistent and focused effort that Suicidal Tendencies has ever produced(save for their self-titled debut). It is a modern metal classic. Highly Recommended.

Everyone wants to control your life. Everyone tells you what to do and how to live. This is the album that breaks all the rules and fights hard to destroy the opposition. When life's problems are too much to aborb there's always one band to tune to: Suicidal Tendencies. Powerful up front lyrics, powerful guitars and sections of interludes that makes you free.

I got into this album when I was still in the Marines. When I felt like getting into that violent mindset I needed for my day this album never failed to put me there. Can't recommend it enough!

Suicidal Tendencies are on of my all time favorite bands and their album Lights...Camera...Revolution is their greatest. This album is recomended to anyone who wants kick-ass "cheerful metal." Highlights on this album are "Lovely" "Discos Out Murders In" and "Give It Revolution".

This album is one of the best. These guys set some of the standards for the heavy music today. Listen to it and you can see where Durst got a lot of his music. With Goin' Breakdown, Get Whacked and You Can't Bring Me Down, it gives an adrenaline rush. The most under-rated band in history.

Alright already...enough with the "this album is great to rock out to when youre mad", actually discussing your feelings intelligently is much more productive...but this genre never claimed to play to intelligent people, which is a huge shame given the talent here, in this absolutely beautiful piece of work by ST. This is one of the most inspired metal records of all time. The beauty and incredibly fluid unity in the songs is a peak moment in the history of rock and more specifically metal/thrash. Buy it. Buy it Buy it. You will love it. I still listen to it 7 years after first getting it. Oh yeah..and another thing....there is not one weak song on this record. Not one. Not even a weak verse or bridge. Complete quality from start to finish.

Perhaps not as raw, not was punk, but totally HARD-CORE! This album has more hard-core than the rest of the 1990's combined! When I hear this album, I hear and feel the anxiety, the anger, the hopelessness, the fear, the FAITH, and the FIGHT in this album! Beware the vengence of the patient man... People have a problem with the pseudo-commerciality of this album... But, every dog executes well on his day, sooner or later... and this was the Suzies day... People have a problem with the pseudo-commerciality of this album... What's the problem with submitting to the disclipline of execution? Tell me you can't feel the passion on songs like "Alone?"..."YOU.. CANT... BRING... ME... DOWN..." Now its your turn to sing it.

In 1991, I bought this album having already heard "Send me Your Money", "Alone" and "Disco's Out Murder's In" (I wanted some new rockin' tunes for a road trip). Needless to say, by about the third Rocky solo on "You Cant Bring Me Down", I was bangin' my head on the steering wheel, and I just about wrecked my car halfway through "Lost Again". Now, in 2003, this album still blows my doors off like it did the first time I heard it.

Yeah, I know the above anecdote is less than useless in reviewing an album. However, such a work cannot be reviewed, only admired. This album ranks first among equals with Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, Rust In Peace, Divine Intervention, Aenima and (of course) Art of Rebellion.

I have been into these guys for many years, but particularly like all the albums done with lead guitarist Rocky George. He is an amazing guitarist and never gets talked about in any magazines. I assume nobody will acknowledge him because of the name of the band. I really am not much into metal except Mega Death and Suicidal. Many Suicidal albums do not have Rocky on them and are not near as good. Check out "The Art of Rebellion", "Suicide For Life" and "How can I laugh tomorrow if I cant even smile today" for more excellent metal by suicidal. All these albums are full of great musicianship including lyrics, bass and drum beats and amazing guitar work. If you like the older and newer more punk simpler suicidal you may not like the complexity of these albums and should focus on pre 90 and after 2000 albums.
