A Very Mysterious Book,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Lights Out (Fear Street, No. 12) (Mass Market Paperback)
The book Lights Out is a very good mystery book because is very intense all the way to the end. At times it might even make you jump. It's about a girly girl named Holly that, in order to help her uncle, goes to his summer camp and works as a counselor. She starts to realize that at the camp not so normal things are happening. She decides to figure out why, what, and who is causing these weird things. At times it gets really intense. For example, Holly gets really scared and it even scares like when she thinks someone is trying to kill her just like they killed another counselor. It's a really good mystery book that keeps you interested the whole way through, because after one thing happens another happens right after. I would recommend this book to people who like R.L. Stine because he writes mainly murder, mystery type books. It's a really good book.

Ashley's Review,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Lights Out (Fear Street, No. 12) (Mass Market Paperback)
I like this book a lot because it was very exciting! My favorite part was when Sandy is chasing Holly in the woods and she hides from him in a small caves she thinks but really it is a snake den and she hates snakes!
There is a girl named Holly and she HATES the outdoors she is a shopping kind of girl. But one day her uncle asks her to be a counselor at his camp. She says yes, but when she gets there weird things are happening, someone is trying to destroy the camp! And with every attack they leave a red feather. Now it's Holly's job to find out who is trying to destroy her Uncle's Camp. I think people who would like this book would be campers because it would be like a horror story at camp.

Typical Fear Street Book!,

This review is from: Lights Out (Fear Street, No. 12) (Mass Market Paperback)
It was a pretty typical fear street book. You know who the killer is halfway through the book and there are a few thrills over all it was okay but if you really want to read some good R.L. Stine you should read the Fear Street Sagas those are excellent!

Greatest R.L. Stine book.,

This review is from: Lights Out (Fear Street, No. 12) (Mass Market Paperback)
"I could kill you!" screamed Geri Marcus. Could she? Would she? Something is very wrong at Camp Nightwing, and junior counselor Holly Flynn is determined to solve the mystery before it destroys the camp! The trouble begins with frightening acts of vandalism. After each, a red feather is left behind-signature of the culprit. Suddenly, one of the counselors is dead. "An accident," say the police. But Holly knows better-and she knows she's next. Holly can't trust anyone now, not even her best friend, as she stalks the camp killer-and hopes that it soon won't be "Lights Out" for her! Original.

Andy's Review New Hampshire,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Lights Out (Fear Street, No. 12) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is an awesome book in the Fear Street Saga. I have read six others in this series but none with as crazy and edge of your seat moments as this one. This book is what you would call a true horror. This book is about a girl whose uncle owns a summer camp. They are a little short on counselors, so her uncle asks her to join. She accepts. But as time goes on, problems get bigger. Every little or big problem she has, there is a red feather near the accident. After a little time, a girl gets murdered. The police write down it was an accident, but she knows it is until she sees it a red feather. This is a YA book, but personally I strongly disagree with that. The only part that might be a little bad is the detailing of a gruesome murder. Probably 6-8 graders would enjoy it possibly some strong 5th grade readers.

This book was one of my favorite books from your selection and it is very exciting how you surprise me one some of the parts. I think this should be a good seller for many of kids like me that like mystery and stuff like that, i have read the hitchhiker and that is not as good as lights out but they are both very good books to read. THANK YOU FOR READING THIS!

I LOVED THIS BOOK. IT WAS ONE OF HIS BEST BOOKS YET. YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHO THE KILLER IS. WHEN YOU FIGURE OUT WHO THE KILLER IS YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHO 'CHIEF' IS. IT WAS GREAT

Lights Out,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Lights Out (Fear Street, No. 12) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book's main character is Holly. Holly is going to be a counselor at her uncle's camp. She is also very girly so this is very different for her. Then bad things start to happen! One of the counserlors is killed (in a very weird and different way)and other things begin to happen! The same thing is left at every "crime scene" too, a red feather. Somebody wants the camp to close...... for good!
I loved this book except for one thing....... the killer. I didn't really like who the killer turned out to be, but I liked the reason for being the murderer. I also really like how throughout the book you can read letters from "Cheif" or aka the killer.

This is a good book overal, but not so good if compared to other Fear Street books such as "The Mind Reader", "The New Boy" and "Halloween Party", but still a good book.
