Works as advertised. Only reason it didn't get a 5-star was that you have to carry around the little cheat sheet for different wood species.

The moisture meter saved me from delivering wet firewood(45%) that I thought was seasoned(23%). Works well.

Has worked well in a variety of woods and conditions, my measures have ranged from dry (6%) to wet (25%). It's nice to have decimals in the lecture. This tool is in the category of the "inexpensive" moisture meters, and I think it does the job pretty well. Sturdy and simple to use too...

Lignomat Moisture meter Mini-Ligno E/D Is only good for the range above 6% .Any value less than 6 will read 6%.If the wood is too dry then this instrument does no help. In any company dealing with wood the range should be between 1 and 20 so that wood finishing process can be altered accordingly.It would be great If Lignomat Moisture meter would have covered that range.

E/d is digital with two sets of pins, moisture readings seem realistic--wet wood over 30, air dried 'bout 12-15, kiln dried less than 12. Checked it out with both sets of pins and microwave to calculate how drying is coming. Need to cut into large chunks, beams, logs--cut a v with chain saw check and check again (with new surface) in a month or two. Decrease seems very slow in logs. Not a necessary instrument unless selling "dry" firewood, high grade artsie furniture, or don't want your carved seats on the windsor to split. Still, as an old man, this is fun I can handle. Good product. Will see how it holds up.

Amazon product description says MADE IN GERMANY in the very first line. Nowhere on the unit or box does it say MADE IN GERMANY. In fact, looks like it's made in China.
