About the Author

Jay Copp has worked as a reporter for THE NEW WORLD, the newspaper of the Archdiocese of Chicago. He currently writes for DePaul University. His articles have appeared in U.S. CATHOLIC, ST. ANTHONY MESSENGER, CATHOLIC DIGEST, AMERICA, OUR SUNDAY VISITOR, COLUMBIA, OHIO and KIWANIS, and he is a longtime contributor to Catholic News Service. He has a master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. He lives in LaGrange Park, Illinois, with his wife, Laura, and two children, Kevin and Andrew.

An enjoyable overview of the numerous spiritually-inspired, artistic and reverent Catholic points of interest that exist throughout the USA. Think of how many Catholic families on vacation could enjoy and use this book! A great way to combine togetherness, spirituality and edification!

This book contains some of the most interesting Catholic places in the U.S. It is a book that people from all religious backgrounds would enjoy. It not only gives good suggestions of places to visit but also gives interesting historical facts. A must have for all travelers!

I bought this book because we travel extensively and wanted a good guide to help us find Catholic sites in the US. I was disappointed however to find some of our favorite sites (e.g. Shrine of Christ's Passion, St John, IN, Shrine of the Little Flower, Darien, IL) not listed. Descriptions given are well written but much is missing. Pretty disappointed in lack of completeness.
