Simple and Sweet,
By Lynda G. Pitcher (Hanover, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: I Like Chocolate (Welcome Books: Good Food) (Paperback)
As a second grade teacher, I was collecting books for a chocolate theme when I came across this book. It is a great book for those struggling readers who want to read books about the same things the rest of the class is reading without feeling overwhelmed. It has an early intervention level of 9. The text is written in simple sentences. "New words" are typed in boldfaced print and defined in a glossary. A good non-fiction book for lower level readers in the primary classroom.
