What is the thing that keeps me from accelerating to 60 or 70 mph and then letting go of the handlebars?, February 8, 2011
I haven't written a poem or anything in several months
Poncho tweeted `sometimes i miss you like i don't hate you'
I read that this morning
I ride a motorcycle in the rain when it is 27 degrees
It is nite and I whisper to the bike, `spring is coming soon'
Seriously I do this
Bikes are temperamental I think
The muffler doesn't like being so cold and then so hot and so on
Ana sends me a youtube video on g-chat and I accidentally see a recent photograph of you when I'm looking at things on facebook and think `oh god' but not with any words
You are definitely wearing your husband's shirt
You definitely seem to be
I watch out the window
My roommate driving away
I write to ana, `what is wrong with this poem besides the whole thing? you don't have to answer this'
It is definitely very cold outside

3.0 out of 5 stars
mediocre, December 27, 2006
lets start with the good. lil wayne is one of the hottest rappers around, and his flows on this cd are great for the most part. his lyrical metaphors and unique delivery are what initially seperated him from the less-talented cash money crew. in short, lil wayne is what makes this record worthy of 3 stars, without him it wouldnt be worth listening to. there are some decent beats and legitimate hooks as well. rick ross has a pretty sick verse in 'know what im doin.'
what makes this record almost unbearable is birdman. his raps are repetitive and boring, and his delivery lacks substance. as for his lyrics, all he raps about is money, cars, car accessories, car paint jobs, rims, etc... u pretty much get the picture. birdman seems to forget that being a good rapper requires flowing about multiple subjects and issues, not just cars. birdman, we understand you have a grip of money and some nice whips, now find something else to rap about you talentless moron. another thing on this record that annoys the s@#$ out of me is the skits. four wasted tracks with some italian mobster talking about mob stuff, maybe out of some movie, I DONT CARE. since lil wayne and birdman are neither italian nor connected to the mob, these skits make absolutely no sense and are a waste of cd space.
overall, this album is decent at best. download it, dont buy it.

top-notch production although a lil generic, October 31, 2006
this album does not disappoint. it also is not extraordinary; expect good beats and clever lyrics from lil wayne. the guests do their thing and rip their verses. lil wayne delivers some catchy flows and funny punchlines, as usual. birdman is very consistent- he spits like you would expect him to. he is sort of like filler because everyone buys this album for lil wayne.
track-by-track review:
1. skit
2. over here hustlin - this is a tight bangin track. i really like this song. its got a Chopped N Screwed beat, which i like. a lot of the beats on this album are chopped and screwed.
3. stuntin like my daddy - the first single. u know what it is. great song.
4. 1st key - this song is dope. its pretty relaxing, lil wayne goes for a smoother flow, a lil bit different from his jerky energetic flows. this songs all about drugs
5. like father like son - another great joint. lil wayne gets lyrical near the end, quoting biggie smalls and then taking off with his own rhymes. good beat also. its like a step below a banger, not really a club song
6. you aint know - a great track with an infectious hook
7. skit
8. know what im doin - T Pain and Rick Ross. the hook is sort of like PICTURE PERFECT by Chamillionaire... this is a good song
9. dont die - meh. a soft song by lil wayne, kind of hard to understand
10. aint worried - eh
11. out the pound - eh
12. leather so soft - this soft beat is classic. melody is crazy. the hook is strangely addictive too and lil wayne spits fire on this track
13. army gunz - the beat gets annoying, the Chop/Screwy hook is mediocre, but lil waynes verses are tight
14. skit
15. get that money - pretty good. this song does not stand up but on its own, its cool. lil wayne sort of "rap-sings" on this hook. pretty good.
16. no more - this song goes hard. the hook is crazy. the prince guy does his thing and drops some nice rhymes
17. high - another soft song... i dont really like it
18. cali dro - lil wayne drops a hilarious verse with an on-going rhyme scheme. "i keep the maggie on me like homer" haha. daz and kurupt do their thing of course
19. about all that - fat joe makes an appearance on this rock music inspired track. one of the weaker songs on the album.. im biased against joe crack becuz hes corny but hes not bad on this song
20. skit
