This is a wonderful book for children just learning how to read. The illustrations glow and pop off the page! A wonderful book for all!

I did not notice the "optimized for larger screens" notation so every other page is blank. The book is cute and typical Margaret Wise Brown but not great for a standard Kindle. Will need to see if this purchase can be salvaged on my iPad.

My 4 year old son LOVES this book! It's great for bedtime. He laughs when we see the animals with their sunglasses on watching the stars. Definitely recommend this book!

My students in Japan, ages 1 and 2 years old, LOVE this book. I was really surprised. I thought the paper-cut-out artwork wouldn't grab them, but it did. The vocabulary was basic, but things they knew and could point to in the pictures. I turned this into a dialogue book because I found the sentences weren't enough. But even a month after we finished our work on this book, 2 of my students were still carying this in their book bags every day because they loved this book so much!

Its a book about different colors, and although it is a cute story, my Kindle does not have color so it really takes away from the story. It has the same issue with a lot of blank pages, as do the other children's books I have on my kindle. Blank pages arent a huge issue- just more of a nuisance than anything.

My 3 year old daughter LOVES this Kindle book. She knows it by heart (I don' read it to her any more, she does!) It's simple but engaging. The only thing is, I recommend it reading it on a device that displays colors (like an Ipod or Iphone) since it makes reference to colors and Kindle is black and white.

My 3 year old daughter loves this book. I think it makes her feel empowered by making it easy to read. It is so simple, yet it is so exciting to hear her actually say the words on the page herself. Great stuff!
I Like Bugs is another book she likes to read.

This is a great first book for babies! It is short with bright colored pictures which keeps my daughter interested all the way through the book. You can also start teaching colors with this book. It has cute animals all the way through the book that she loves also. I love this book and will read it to all my children!

This is the second copy I have purchased for gifting. This is a great beginner book and one of my personal favorites.
