A very smooth and sophisticated Neo-Soul CD.,

How refreshing indeed it is to find an artist who makes (and cares about) real music these days. All 12 tracks on this gorgeous CD are great but the true standouts are "Be Unto Me A Lady", "Sincerity", "Oxygen", "Weak" and the subtly house-flavored title track. On this CD, Billy Griffin (who was once a member of the legendary Miracles--after Smokey Robinson's departure) and his producers have brought together the best of classic '60s-'70s Soul with contemporary R&B influences and stylings. This is one "modern" R&B CD I'll definitely recommend to anyone who loves passionate, emotive and romantic Soul.

If you are a Billy Griffin fan that has followed his career from the Miracles to the present ...you will witness a reinventing of a classic R&B artist from simply a Motown and dance artist to a crooner who has not let down his audience.
All these songs are for you to make love by, dream about the love you don't have...or teach you how to treat your love when you get one. The voice... WOW... or should I say Billy's several voices are captivating to say the least. And the song writing is superb and current. Not a lot of re-hashing and re-doing of old boring material that makes one wind up comparing every song to an original. Why? Because this Billy Griffin CD is original, worth the money and phenomenal.

Great CD,

I've known of Billy Griffin but this was the first time I ever bought anything by him. And this CD was great. Every cut is a gem. I am very, very hard on grading CD's. I'm from the old school where I won't buy a CD if the majority of the CD isn't any good. Not only is this CD great, I've reccommeneded it to several of my friends and they love it as well. If your a long time Billy Griffin fan, you'll need this one. I am going to back track and explore some of his older material. I pray this isn't his last project.
