It is only the first episode that I'm basing this entire review on but what the hey, you only get one impression right? Thankfully Rebel's impressions are priceless and hilarious. The show is by no means perfect. There's a lot pauses (for laughs) and looks (for laughs) and cheesy "awkward girl crushes on potential out of league guy" story lines but I am willing to come back and visit them again and again until the show finds its footing. There's just something about Rebel and her friends that has me cheering them on, laughing (when it's actually funny) and bonding with Rebel's struggle with Spanx. (Been there girl.) Hopefully the show finds its momentum because there is a lot promise here.

Rebel Wilson has created, written, and stars in, what I would consider, the best new comedy of this fall season. Ever since watching her in the film PITCH PERFECT I am a huge fan of her comedic acting talent. I was hesitant about the concept of the show but after watching three episodes I am hooked. Rebel Wilson stars as Kimmie, a lawyer in a NYC law firm, and roommate with her two bffs, Helen-Alice, played by Liza Lapira and Marika played by Lauren Ash, a second city alumni.

The premise of the show works around Kimmie's brilliant idea that the three gals spend one night a week out and having a lively time going to bars, clubs and possibly meeting the persons of their dreams. Kimmie is open for fun but her real love interest is her boss at the law firm, Richard. He likes Kimmie as a friend and finds her eccentric personality endearing. Whether they ever find a romantic connection together remains to be seen but it is fun to watch as Kimmie tries to draw his attention away from viewing her as a best bud and start looking at her as girlfriend material.

The storylines are intelligent and silly at the same time. In each episode Kimmie not only has a "super fun" time but she also learns more about her self worth which I find inspiring. Rebel has no problem adding quirky song and dance numbers to the show to add to the entertainment. The writing and character development are well thought out and clever. The show may not be the funniest of all time but it is solidly entertaining and Rebel is awkward and charming and full of hope which endears us to her dilemma as a single girl looking for love and having a "super fun" time doing so.

What I love about this show so much is that even though Kimmie is a really successful lawyer, she still is a dork and has lots of issues. She is also very self confident and puts herself out there, to hilarious result. It's a very funny show with a heart. I hope you will check it out.

Meet Kimmie! She is the brand new lawyer at a firm where she works with her best male friend, Richard. She lives with her two best female friends, Marika and Helen-Alice. And then hijinx ensue. But the type of humor in this show is much like British humor, it's a slow burn, it takes a few seconds to get it. That is probably why the ratings aren't great. Most people don't get dry humor like that. The show does have witty moments as well as belly pounding laughter moments. But what I really like about this show is the chemistry amongst the cast. Not only does the chemistry give way to some very classic humorous moments but also lends to some very believable friendships. Go with Glorg!
