Boody Shaker! November 27, 2010
By Randie
This is my most favorite song off his album Raymond Vs Raymond. The beat is just awesome and Usher's voice and his lyrics makes the song even better. Nicki did her thing too!

"Lil' Freak" is the latest of Usher's collaborations. Now that he has loosed Justin Bieber onto the world (My Worlds which bespeaks megalomania),and collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas' Will I Yam, the world is not enough. Usher now sings with the up and coming "Lady GaGa of hip hop"--Nicki Minaj. In "Lil' Freak" sings contemplatively, almost ballad-like, of sticking his hands down a girl's pants, how he wants a menage, and how he recruits Nicki to make out with girls for him. The music video is also a blatant, graphic advertisement for the iPhone. While this song may not subscribe to the newsletter the Gay Agenda (was I supposed to bring coffee or donuts?),it definitely belongs in the realm of Bad Music. "Lil' Freak" isn't all that freaky. The instrumental is OK... but if the song were EXCELLENT, then this song would be freaky.

Not Like Yeah! April 6, 2010
There is no question that Usher has gone through a lot of heartache the past few years from his divorce to Tameka Foster and going through the death of his idol, Michael Jackson. Nevertheless, he is trying to get back out there. But with the lackluster songs that showed from Raymond Vs. Raymond, even on his latest single a collaboration with newcomer Nicki Minaj on Lil' Freak. The song isn't really a strong or dynamic collaboration for Usher. Not only that, but for newcomer Nicki, it doesn't fare any better than her weak collaboration with Mariah Carey from the now cancelled Angels' Advocate record. I think Usher needs to find better collaborations than what he has been able to recently show, and that is more than just saying Yeah!
