5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!
This was exactly what I was looking for. My 18 month old HATES it when we pour water over head cause it runs into her face. These little visor has helped tremendously. It does not leak, it's flexible, and is a great product. I highly recommend it!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed, maybe better for older
I got this for my 9 month old and found that it's too big for her tiny head. Perhaps this product is better for older children who do not want soap and water in their eyes. My baby doesn't mind getting water in her eyes.

I purchased this item due to my 2 year old who really afraid of water on his head. He would scream and cry every time I put shampoo and rinse it. At first I thought that this may or may not work. However, I used it for a month now, and I have no complain. The soft rubber-like lining really prevent water from coming down to the face area. In short, this item really do what is supposed to do. Just put it in on the head and make sure it fit before start pouring the water.

5.0 out of 5 stars No more tears, November 17, 2008

I bought this item for my 3 year old and 5 year old. The 5 year old has ear tubes and hates the feeling of water entering her ears. Baths had become a major stress point for both of us. She loves the Lil Rinser; now we have no more tears, and both kids think it's fun to play with their new "Egyptian hat." The 5 year old no longer argues about whether to take a bath, which is big progress.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works When Used Properly, December 1, 2010

This review is from: Lil Rinser Splashguard in Blue and Pink (Baby Product)
We bought this splashguard (my daughter calls it her "hat") and I didn't have any problems rinsing my daughters hair out the first time I used it. No tears, it was great! I explained to my daughter that it would keep water out of her eyes (it took a lot of simple explaining since she's under two, but she got it after a while; "no eyes" she said - great!). But the next night when my husband bathed her he said he wasn't impressed, which left me confused. After a few more bath times with Daddy my daughter started to really rebel against the "hat", which I thought was odd, after all we'd been off to such a great start. Long story short - my husband was not putting the "hat" on her head properly. You have to angle it down from the top of the forehead towards the ears and press it tight to the forehead (much like in the picture shown with the little girl getting her hair rinsed)for it to work, other wise it will leak. Daddy was putting on the "hat" like a basball hat - straight across instead of angling down. So now I'm back to square one (or worse) since my daughter now flips out whenever she sees the "hat" and she cannot be convinced to use it. Wish me luck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why didn't I get this sooner, March 15, 2009

I used to have a cheap bath visor that in theory was supposed to fit around the head, but the darn thing didn't work at all. This splash guard works great for keeping water out of the eyes of our 2 and 5 year olds.

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work for us., December 16, 2010

I refused to purchase this for several months because it looks ridiculous. We finally broke down and purchased it. Our son has a normal shaped/sized head but this thing still let water leak through. It also annoyed him to have it on or near his head. Seems to be one of the those things that works for some babies but not for most.

My son was about a year and a half old when I broke down and bought this product. Washing his hair was a horrible ordeal every time. He hated having water in his face, but he felt uncomfortable laying down or leaning back. It was something I just tried to rush through.

This product is GREAT though! At first, he didn't quite believe me, but once I got it on and got his hair wet, he was thrilled! You do have to be careful to have the child lean back and push the splash-guard back to drain the water out. If you pull it straight off, the water that's sitting inside will fall into the child's face.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this product!, March 1, 2010

I have tried plastic cups and many rinse products from Babies-R-Us, Target, etc. Every night bathtime rolled around, my son dreaded getting his hair washed. We've never had any problems with this product. I love it so much that it's the baby gift I give to all my "new mom" friends. Luckily, by the time my daughter was born, we were using the Lil Rinser in full force, so she's never had to suffer water/shampoo in her eyes. I would tell anyone who may have reservations that it's worth the investment. It's also very durable. Mine still holds up just fine, 3+ years later.

I have tried many different things to keep water and soap out of adults eyes. This is the only thing that I have found that works. Most of the people I care for are unable to put their head back far enough and this solves the problem. It is not too small at all.
