Book Description

October 9, 2007 4 and up
This new addition to our Kids Kits series is sure to strike close to home with all those little boys who want to be just like Daddy! In the sweet story, father and son go through their morning shaving and grooming routine-washing their faces, lathering up their beards, pulling razors across foamy cheeks, and splashing on aftershave. In the end, father and son are looking sharp when they share a sweet cheek-to-cheek, no-prickly-beard hug. The kit has huge play factor with these safe and cute components: a Mock 5 razor, shaving cream dish, applicator brush, aftershave, and soap dish. And don’t forget the 16-page storybook, whose pages are all laminated to stand up to the soaping and splashing they’ll surely endure from multiple readings (and shavings)!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it, December 24, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Li'l Shaver's Shaving Kit: Featuring the Mock 5 (Paperback)
This "book" and "shaving kit" is so not worth the price. The "shaver" is tiny even for the littlest hands. The "brush" is very tiny also, and the "bristles" are just a little white sponge type thing on top of a very tiny plastic handle. The tiny book's story is very lame, even for a three-year old. The boy in the book looks about 5, but the words in the book are geared towards a one-year old -- you know, very short, trite incomplete sentences. This is so not worth the money but I hesitate sending it back because I had paid $3.99 for postage as it wasn't free delivery. I did buy a great kit on Amazon called "Alex Shaving in the Tub," which was less expensive and which I highly recommend. The pieces in this kit are of very high quality and well worth the money. There's no "book," just a solid 5-piece child's shavaing kit, just like daddy's.

3.0 out of 5 stars Li'l saver, June 13, 2008
This review is from: Li'l Shaver's Shaving Kit: Featuring the Mock 5 (Paperback)
The kit was great, my toddler has just loved shaving like Dad. The book was very cute, but alas, my husband doesn't lather up like the traditional Dad in the book, so my son thought it odd. Otherwise it was a great buy and has kept my little guy from trying to shave with a real razor, now that he has his "own".

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Toy!!!, January 4, 2011

This review is from: Li'l Shaver's Shaving Kit: Featuring the Mock 5 (Paperback)
I purchased this item for a 2 year old who loves to watch his daddy shave and participate. Up until actually having this product, the father used to turn his razor over, to the plastic side, and use it to wipe away shaving cream from the child's face. Since having this, the boy has shaved everything. He doesn't care much about the book, but loves everything else.
