My girls are hooked on WebKinz. I like that the plush toys are rather small, and don't take up tons of space in the house. They're kinda cute, too. :) I also really like the website. The girls play games, even some rather educational games like checkers (critical thinking). They are learning about earning "money" (i.e., KinzCash), and saving up for their "purchases." They learn to manage real money, too, as they save up their allowance for more WebKinz. I like the protection features in place, so that my children can play safely. And I like the networking features that are available so they can play with their friends, cousins, and even their aunts!

As for this bird in particular--well, for any of the birds--my girls were thrilled to find out that the canary's online "room" was a treetop. Very creative!

I bought this for my niece so I haven't seen it personally. However, based on her opinion and that of the rest of the family, it's an excellent product. She and her older siblings all enjoy playing with it and at the same time they're learning. I think that more toys should have similar features.

From my 9 year old daugher: This was a great addition to my Webkinz collection and has become my favorite Webkinz bird (I only have the one). It rocks!!!

My kids, ages 7 and 4, are absolutely obsessed with Webkinz! They love to play pretend with them (we have close to 40 of them between both kids), and everyone gives them these as gifts. When they register them online it opens a whole new world for them, teaching responsibility (caring for their pets, feeding, grooming), health & hygiene habits (bathing, brushing pets' teeth, etc.), working the computer to become more computer literate, managing their money ("KinzCash") to save and buy what they need for their pets, and also the responsibility of getting jobs (which are games/tasks they must do to obtain more cash) to support their pets. There are also educational quizzes they can take (Quizzy's Corner), which really teaches them a lot since it always gives the correct answer, in categories such as Math, Language, Health, Science, etc. Social networking is also part of the experience, allowing the kids to interact and visit with their friends' pets online -- but in a VERY limited and controlled environment (which is the ONLY WAY I would allow my children to interact with others online at this age!). The only reason I give less than 5 stars for durability is because we have had more than one with loose or open seams which I had to sew shut... so the quality control could be a bit better. But all in all, I think they are very educational as well as fun!

And the canary is so cute. It's the smallest Webkinz I've ever had/seen.
But it's still cute,soft.
1 flaw is that one of the wings wont stay down all the way like the other one.

fits in my hand and is soft and cute. NIce details. My 6 year old son loves it. Online play is fun too. Seems pretty durable too.

This is a wonderful toy for children of all ages. It is easy for the kids to hold and the on-line computer software is very educational. My children love Webkinz animals!

I was excited to get my Stuffed Animal Canary at my doorstep. As soon as the doorbell rang, I rushed to the door, opened up the package, and briefly admired it. Adorable!

When I gave it to my dog, however, joy turned to sadness, and ultimately, frustration. In a matter of minutes, he had reduced it to a pile of fabric and various other innards. Actually, "pile" is a loose word. I was running the vacuum for hours, just to clean up the mess.

If your child is a dog, be prepared to kiss your money goodbye with this product. However, if your child does not drink from the toilet, and relieve itself in my flowerbed, this toy might last longer than 5 minutes.

My [...]daughter purchased this. It is cute but she only played with it for a couple of days.
