5.0 out of 5 stars Goldsmith was a genius!, August 15, 2007
This review is from: Lilies of the Field [Soundtrack] (Audio CD)
This is such a wonderful soundtrack. There is one main theme and with a few embellishments here and there Goldsmith makes it fit every scene and emotion in the film. We may not be used to him writing music for stories about faith or nuns but this has a really nice feel to it. It is fun, morbid, uplifting and totally Jerry! It's got some nice western elements to it as well. The only regret I have about it is that those nuns just can't seem to sing in key (not that I let that deter me from listening). All in all, this is a great picture into the mind of one of the best composers of all time. Anyone who liked the movie will love CD (although, I seem to have some inconsistancies with the track listings on my copy). Any serious collector will want this one.
