As a first time mother and a compulsive experimenter of all "cool" and functional baby products, I have to admit that I am now on my forth infant/ toddler carrier.
I have been using the Lille baby carrier for a couple of months now and I have to admit that I love it. It has united the components that I liked from the other carriers and even added some upgrades.
Some features that work best for me are:
- The shoulder straps are narrow, allowing me put on a jacket over the carrier without the bulk. As a petit woman (5'3), the shoulder straps sit on my body, rather than slipping to the side. Once this carrier is on, it feels comfortable and never moves out of place.
- Her weight sits my hips, allowing me to take hour + long hikes with a 24 lb baby with ease. I have hiked with her on the front (front and back facing) and on my back. The different positions have been great for when my daughter gets fussy. As soon as we change up the position she relaxes. I have even had her on my side, allowing me to "carry" her without the weight on my arms.
- Lightweight but very durable. This is an easy carrier to use in the hot weather, and it is less bulky for packing. It fits under the stroller, in the diaper bag and even in a purse.

Overall, I am very satisfied and know that with the next child, I can stick with one carrier.

Disclaimer: As a professional baby planner, I received this carrier without being charged. My opinions are honest and true to my experience. I have already made recommendations for this carrier to friends.

I am underwhelmed by this carrier. I own wraps, slings, MTs and two other SSCs. Its easiest to compare apples to apples so I will try and keep the comparisons to my Angelpack and Beco.

We can start with the only plus this carrier has over the Angelpack and Beco. Its lightweight. Being its so lightweight it also feels less substantial. It also has a forward facing front carry that my other two SSCs did not have. However since I did not find this carry comfortable for me I don't find it to be a plus. Then there is the whole issue about whether its even safe for babies hips and spine and whatever it is "they" say.

I tried all the different carries; forward facing front carry, traditional front carry, back carry, and hip carry (w/ sling converter).

Forward facing front carry. This just didn't feel right to me, the weight distribution just felt off. I also felt like it just looked weird to have my baby legs dangling like that. I only used this hold for a few minutes but I would say it didn't feel like it would take too long for my back to start hurting.

Traditional front carry. With the carrier being so lightweight I was afraid the hold would feel flimsy or uncomfortable but it felt pretty darn good. I was able to tighten it up and carry her high and tight which is the most comfortable way to carry a baby. The shoulder pads are not as padded as the angelpack or beco but I felt like the padding was enough to keep from the straps from digging in and becoming uncomfortable.

Back carry. With my 20 lbs baby this is the most comfortable hold. I was able to get a pretty tight hold and the straps did not dig in under my arms.

Hip carry with sling converter. The sling converter was not as comfortable as I was hoping.

I LOVE THIS CARRIER! Before I purchased the EveryWear, I was using an Eddie Bauer sling and a Snugli but all the weight was on one shoulder and my 12 lb. baby was getting too heavy to carry for long periods of time. I tried a Bjorn and liked it, but knew that it would only be a matter or time before my daughter would get too heavy for that, too.

I was recommended the Ergo and the Beco since they can be used on the front or back and is supposed to be better for baby, too. My daughter has been so used to riding facing outward that I wasn't sure how she would like facing me. Along came the Lillebaby EveryWear! Not only does it have the ergonomic hip support, but it also has the option for the baby to face outward (an option that the Ergo/Beco doesn't have). And although this shouldn't matter, in my opinion, it's also a more attractive looking carrier than the Ergo.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out how to wear the baby in front of you, but it is more difficult in the backpack position. I would recommend practicing with someone behind you to offer support. I haven't tried the hip position yet but I like that it's an option. I also like the detachable sleephood which is also nice to shade the baby from sunlight. When I go for a short walk, the front pocket holds my essentials: cell phone & keys. It's also folds easily and isn't too bulky for when I need to slip it under my stroller for those just-in-case moments when my daughter would rather ride on me than in her wheels.

She falls asleep very easily in the Everywear, especially when facing me. I don't have her facing outward as much as I thought I would since she seems more comfortable in the seat when she faces me.
