I had quite a difficult time getting ahold of this cd, my local record store had to order from five different distributors before it came in. For those two weeks I came to expect so much (being a huge fan of "Muted" and "All Things Fixable), and was worried about being let down. I am pleased to say that I highly enjoyed Lillian. Alias's sound has noticably changed, but his trademark drums and ambience are still as present as ever. Also making a triumphant comeback are the halfway through climaxes, that I was a a huge fan of. In "Back and Forth" the drums come in heavy and Ehren goes completely insane on the clarinet, his notes sounding chaotic, but very refined and coherent, not like a 5 year old blowing random notes. On "Cobblestoned Waltz" the song goes in heavy with a huge fuzz electronic baseline and its sounds great. Ehrens skill on the wind instruments gives this album a great jazzy feel, and is much more lighthearted than Alias's other work. If you are a fan of Electronic, Hip-Hop, or jazz I would highly reccommend picking this up.

I had the priveledge of seeing Alias live. I've been hooked onto his sound ever since. Muted was brilliant and Lilian takes it in a similar but not quite the same direction. It is surely less polished than Muted, which I guess was not expected because people usually progress in the other direction. The inclusion of Ehren into the works was clearly fun and exciting to the album-recording process. It shows. It shines.

Had a hard time finding this cd for my daughter. Of course I found it on Amazon! The cd came brand new, still in the plastic and came very quickly. The music is a little calmer than most teenagers' choice in tunes, but you need a little calming every now & then. My daughter loves it.
