Lily for a Day warms your heart. Carolynn Carey, award-winning author across subgenres, shines in this exceptional women's fiction novel. The intricately woven tale of Marti and her husband, their two grown daughters, and the complex relationships among them proves both entertaining and hopeful. I wanted to be part of Marti's family, and I read eagerly to get to know each character. After reading the last page, I felt privileged to have been part of their lives as a reader. When a book starts the way this one does, well, Ms. Carey says it best: "The day Harold fell off the roof and broke my ankle, I knew our way of life was about to change. I just didn't know how much." A non-stop ride from smile to smile. |
