Lily's Mistake (great cover!) is a fairly quick read that is filled with off the charts passion, tension and deep frustration as two childhoood friends and "one" time lovers, Lily and Drake, try to navigate through the hazardous waters of meeting again after 8 years of Lily intentionally avoiding him. He shattered her heart and she struggles to hold on to all the reasons why being with him again is a very bad idea. There are familiar complications as the story progresses but the author's feisty writing style keeps things moving and interesting every step of the way.

For those who care about such things, this is a complete story and does not end with a cliff hanger.

This is my first review, EVER! I read a ton of books, I'll even admit to reading a lot of crap books. None of them have ever moved me to write a review. I read the sample first, which was not great, but it was okay and got me interested. The story went downhill pretty quickly after that. First of all, the sex scenes were unrealistic and unmoving. It seemed to me that the author was trying WAY too hard for the angsty love scenes that have become so popular with YA romance novels. Totally cold fish, nothing remotely sexy about this book. Another major problem was the main character, Lily. I love him, I hate him, I love him, I hate him. Seriously, do or don't but quit the unnecessary wavering. And my biggest problem was just the story itself. It was entirely too predictable, but what makes it worse is the fact that it was too rushed. The bones of the story have some potential, but the author missed the mark by rushing it and lacking true character and story development. Honestly, the best part about this book is the sexy cover. That guy is H-O-T HOT, but the book itself is a complete waist.

I just hate to leave a bad review. I couldn't get into this story. It escalated too quickly, didn't give me enough foundation for the characters and story. The dialogue really killed it for me. Just didn't flow and wasn't believable. Too stiff.

Where oh where do I even begin? The first chapter started out well and I thought I was going to enjoy this book. Unfortunately it was so hard to get through. I'm one of those people that has to finish a book. Half way through I was only reading to laugh at how ridiculous this book is. Lily is a mess of a woman with no backbone. Drake is even worse. He is a complete jackass!!!he has no redeeming qualities. I kept thinking to myself, " why is the author trying to make him seem desirable? " I would never recommend this book to anyone, it was that awful.

The story line was fine but I don't think it was written very well. I still had to finish it though to find out what happens.

I liked the story, but it was lacking in continuity. It just didn't flow well & because of this the dialogue seemed a little contrived and a bit corny.

Out of everything, the only thing that was agreeable was the plot. After that everything was pure crap. It was as if a Puritan porn star wrote it. Most of the dialogue made no damn sense and then there were things that really did not matter. This book read more like an unedited, unrevised, not-reread version. The characters were limp, they had not real feeling. It was like if I was reading a robot romance novel. There was no emotion!!! I didn't get those tingles you normally get when you want the heroine to kiss the guy. Or the sorrow of having been through a tragic event. It was as if a 15 year old with no creative writing experience wrote it. I only finished reading it to see if I can do it. Now that I did, I have to cure this headache by reading something by Nora Roberts otherwise my brain is going to combust from the lack of word descriptors in the book (saw how I did that? Why can't the author do the same?). Fiction romance, especially in the adult category should never be choppy. If the author goes back and makes some major corrections, she might have a readable book. If not, well I won't be expecting to see her on the best seller's list no time soon.
