Editorial Reviews

A new name to these shores, BEATSTEAKS have already succeeded in creating an unmistakable full-speed-ahead, right-in-your-face sound on their four albums in their native Germany where they are one of the country's most popular and successful Punk bands and arena filling live acts! The band have also been previously signed to Epitaph. Limbo Messiah is completely different and yet still typically BEATSTEAKS. About half of the songs are driven by the catapult energy that you find with American hardcore combos from the Eighties such as Black Flag, Minor Threat and Bad Brains.

Format: Audio CD
At first I wasnt so impressed with this cd. I was kinda living in the past of Living Targets which is one the greatest albums I own, but this album grew on me, what Smack Smash lacks, this album has in strides...Smack Smash to me sounds like a band in the middle of change, and Limbo Messiah fully shows the change. I suggest picking up Living Targets and Limbo Messiah so you can hear the old great BeatSteaks and the new great Beatsteaks.

I don't know why this cd isn't sold in the U.S., nor is it sold on iTunes. My favorite song is "Hail to the Freaks", I can't stop listening to it.
