This is a nice upgrade for the Maverick 88 as the stock recoil pad is not very good. It was OK shooting low recoil OO buckshot but I actually bruised my shoulder shooting LE 12 pellet OO rounds. After replacing the stock recoil pad with a Limbsaver one, I shot 20 rounds of LE OO again and my shoulder was not bruised.

I didn't read the total product advertisment. My Mossburg 500 has a wooden stock and the recoil pad I ordered is for synthetic stocks only. It doesn't fit.
