I put this on a Marlin 336 .30-30 and wow what a difference! While the .30-30 is not really stout recoil it was very dramatically improved and the rifle is much more comfortable to shoot in longer sessions. It was not a perfect fit on my stock but pretty close - I could not expect that to be better with a product intended for so many different guns.
