I purchased this for my Mosin Nagant and I was a little worried that it wouldn't fit but that was not the case!
The cost of this item is well worth it, I would recommend it for any who owns a Mosin-Nagant rifle!

With a couple days of precision high power rifle and 250 rounds a day, my shoulder suffers when lying prone. The eye relief is not the same for me with my scope when I'm prone vs standing or sitting. Slip this on your stock when prone and it instantly corrects the eye relief problem as well as protects your shoulder pocket. Well made pad. I've had many Limbsavers on many different long guns over the years and this one is perfect for me. I take it off when hunting in cold weather in MT as the extra clothing corrects my length of pull problem and I have perfect eye relief. There are probably cheaper pads than Limbsavers, but over the last ten years or more, I've given up on the cheapies as they wiggle around and break down under hard use in the field. No, I don't sell Limbsavers or get any money for this opinion.

I recently purchased a Savage III (.30-06) and was having alittle bit of trouble taking the recoil. To be fair, I'm pretty skinny, however the rangemaster (Big, burly dude) could only take 3 shots before needing a break. The Slip-on recoil pad totally changed all of that! I went from shooting a total of 8 150 grain rounds to well over 20 the next weekend ( I stopped after I ran out )! Great buy for kids shooting big guns!

I was looking for a recoil pad for my Mosin Nagant and I read through other reviews that recommended this product for my rifle. Shipping was rather fast and arrived at a convenient time (surplus ammo shipment came in same day). This recoil pad fits perfectly and grips the wood stock making it impossible to slip off. It is very comfortable and provides much more accurate shooting sessions. I am very pleased and recommend it.

I puchased this product for a custome built 30-06 my father passed down to me. The old butt pad had solidified and basically became a vulcanized piece of rubber. Needless to say, it made the firing of the weapon painful if done for long periods of time. I put the Limbsaver recoil pad on the rifle, took it out to the range and was able to put 100 rounds down range with no discomfort. Would recommend this to anyone with a high caliber rifle that has a little too much bite when fired.

After shooting 40 rounds with my .234 win Savage American Classic 14, my shoulder has a noticeable soreness to it, although I can't really say the recoil was causing any accuracy issues.

After installing this product, I shot another 40 rounds and the difference was quite apparent. No soreness afterwards! The great thing about the Limbsaver is that it really does not add any bulk to the end of the rifle. All it does is do what it says it will do; reduce rifle recoil by enough of a factor to make a physical difference to the shooter, without being obtrusive.

I was trying to find a good recoil pad to use with my Remington 870. I did not want to change the stock, so I picked up the Limbsaver. I works as advertised! Really damps the recoil. I tried it on my .30-06 Springfield and it is now very enjoyable to shoot.

If you are looking for a good recoil pad, get this.

To the company: Make one that will fit an AK Stock. This would be great for a Saiga-12.

Use it on my 870 Express. Great for the heavy loads that I sometimes buy by mistake. Really cuts the bruising on those >1300 f/p/s loads if you are spending a few hours at the range.

I have a Remington 11-57 which I was trying to signt in with 12 Ga. 3" Brenneke Balck Magic slugs. After 3 shots, my shoulder was sore. I borrowed a limbsaver slipon recoil pad from a buddy who was with me. I proceeded to fire another 5 rounds. The very next day I went out and bought my own. It truly reduces felt recoil by 50% (at least). I know that could shoot boxes of 12 Ga. Brenneke Black Magic 3" slugs without a sore shoulder now if I had to.

I always read most, or all reviews on Amazon before I buy just about any product. I learned that most of the time you get what you pay for. I was looking for a recoil pad to use on my Mosin 91/30. And while there are ones that were Mosin specific for half the price of this one, they require unscrewing the buttplate and replacing it with a recoil pad. That's great if you only have one. What I really like about Limbsaver is that I can throw it onto multiple rifles in seconds.

Now, the difference is like night and day while shooting M91/30 with Limbsaver. Before I had it on, it was fun to shoot it for about 10 rounds after which I had bruises on my shoulder. Yeah, I shoot wearing a t-shirt and I'm not bundled up under layers of clothing like those Russian soldiers back in the day, which perhaps explains why they didn't need a Limbsaver :D, plus they're Russian. With Limbsaver I fired at least 100 rounds and it was a blast!

I highly recommend Limbsaver to anyone shooting rifles with kick like Mosin. And if you want to call me a pansy and tell me that real men shoot rifles as they come, then go on with your bad self and small brain while I enjoy another couple hundred rounds down the range.
