DC*B brings a higher art form to Christian music than anyone perhaps in the history of CCM. They are unquestionably one of the most intelligent CCM bands, and after listening to this album (and the Passion work), no one could possibly say that their live cuts are anything but outstanding.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great songs, but some flaws
I had listened to some tracks of this CD on Pandora and decided that I really enjoyed the songs. After receiving the CD, I can say that I thoroughly enjoy worshiping along with the CD. Even though it's small, it has a nice variety of songs. David Crowder Band's style with the added sounds puts a little extra flair on the CD, which I really like.

The best part is that they Crowder would probably be embarassed over this review so far. The fact is, God has gifted and used them in a totally unique and powerful way.

Get the cd. It rocks.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT LITTLE CD..., March 29, 2005
This review is from: Lime CD (Audio CD)
I love the David Crowder band. If you have ever been led in worship by them, how could you not? This little CD--originally two EP's, now released as one slightly longer EP--is worth the investment.

There's not much that's entirely new here if you have the band's two full-length releases and their work on the Passion CD's. Yet what is here stands nicely alongside their prior work. I'd buy this disc if only for its version of "You Alone."

What a great song!

I pray the band does a little more than just rework its old stuff in the future. I see that there's a bit of that going on with the new Sunsets and Sushi CD (I'll still get it--more Crowder is more Crowder--and that's a good thing).

Back to this CD: My five year-old loves the version of "Every Move I Make" from this disc. He's asked me to burn it on a CD for him to listen to in his room. I will glady oblige.

Music that makes people from 28 to 5 want to worship...It must be good stuff.

I give the Lime CD my full recommendation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely beautiful music!!!!, August 8, 2005
This review is from: Lime CD (Audio CD)
First off I am extremely picky when it comes to music and what I will listen to and when i first was introduced to DCB I simply fell in love with their music. It's hard to find awesomely produced, written, and performed music these days. But, this bad does just that and does it very well. Their work on passion, and especially Hymns is wonderful, but this release is one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever listened too in my life! The whole album is amazing and I would recommed this to anybody who loves to worship the Lord and get closer to Him through worship. Learn these songs and make them your prayer to the Lord. All songs on here are great but my heart melts on track 4 and im pretty much out of it through the rest of the cd. This is definitely worth any amount of money because your only bettering yourself by getting closer with more worship. Oh, and I just gotta say, the scratching and the electronic parts of their music is what makes them so great!!!!! And to do all that and be live is music to my ears! God Bless

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT!, June 29, 2005
This review is from: Lime CD (Audio CD)
This cd is truly amazing. I really like DCB's versions of "Every Move I Make" and "Undignified". My only real annoyance with this cd (and DCB in general) is the overuse of "scratching", especially on the first track. It's not only unnecessary, it's annoying and adds nothing to the song.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awsome!, April 30, 2005

I won this CD at a church event... I never heard of David Crowder Band (DCB). I listend to it once and fell in love DCB. It is great music and it for real, it truly alows me to speak from the heart. I am typicaly not a fan of a live CD's, but this one is great! It is fun to hear the interactions of DCB and the crowd. Sometimes you feel you are there praising God with the crowd. I highly recomend this CD for any one.

Well if you like DCB on an album then you'll love them live! This CD captures some of the highlights of their live shows from the past couple of years. The songs are familiar, yet somehow when you hear them live with the crowd and everyone involved then it sounds even better. That's how worship music should be! (Everyone loud and participating).
The combination of I Need Words/God of Wrath is worth the price alone as they transition from the quiet song, to the crunch of God of Wrath mixed with a great beat and scratching. That's right scratching on a worship CD. Check it out!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great songs, but some flaws, May 20, 2008
This review is from: Lime CD (Audio CD)
I had listened to some tracks of this CD on Pandora and decided that I really enjoyed the songs. After receiving the CD, I can say that I thoroughly enjoy worshiping along with the CD. Even though it's small, it has a nice variety of songs. David Crowder Band's style with the added sounds puts a little extra flair on the CD, which I really like.

I am severely disappointed in the amount of dynamic range compression and clipping on this CD. On Pandora, it said the track was live, which was another I bought the CD as live tracks typically are better in this aspect. It seems to be live, but they appear to have modified it in the studio and raised the volume on it. Call me a music purist, but I really dislike buying a CD, especially a live CD, and finding this on it. For this reason, I cannot give it above 3 stars.

Overall, however, I would still recommend the CD. It's rather enjoyable!

5.0 out of 5 stars Praise and worship at its best, July 25, 2006

A lot of music sounds better without thousands of screaming fans in the background. But praise and worship live is the best. And there is no p & w live band better than the David Crowder Band. The Lime CD is a wonderful example of that.

I've heard the Passion Band CDs. Chris Tomlin is great. Matt Redman and Charlie Hall are cool. But David Crowder stands out every time I listen to it. I can fast forward through the other songs, but not Crowder's.

That said, Crowder hits the right highs for praise on this CD with songs like "Undignified" and "Every Move Make." It also the right lows for worship with songs like "You Alone" and "Heaven Came Down."

Of all the Crowder CDs I own, this is my favorite. I highly, highly recommend it.
