This book is just as much fun as books by DR.Suess and Shel Silverstien, while relentlessly driving home its point about smoking.
My son brought it to school and the teacher read the limericks to the children. They loved it! There is also a glossary for building young vocabularies.
I feel that this book should win a Newbury Medal!

Ths book is so funny. It's cool cause it gives kids some credit, instead of talking down to us, but it has a glossary just in case. (the french words are a little confusing w/out it.) 'Look, human see, human do!" was so funny. Its got good pictures to. I like this book.

What a great book ! I have two daughters ,6 and 10, we took turns reading the limericks. They won't put the book down! My oldest daughter is memorizing the limericks and walking around repeating them to her friends . My youngest reads them (with a little help) and not only does she laugh and enjoy them, it has helped her develop her reading skills !!! Thanks Mr.Poffo for your kind heart and vision to create such a versatile book, that children and adults both can enjoy, in addition,the message behind it all is so very important, smoking causes health risks and death ! What is the value (price) of one soul that is saved?

Mr. Poffo takes a near cliche, often ribald form and employs it in a positive manner to his great advantage. He elevates a meter considered vulgar to the highest levels of art and education. This book is a gift, not only to the life expectancy of our youth, but to the postmodern poet disillusioned from the harbor of conventional structure and set adrift on a sea of muddled antischemes. Bravo, Mr. Poffo. They called you "The Genuis" with good reason.

Thanks Lanny, purchased this book for the grand children and they love it. They share it with all their friends and the parents all thank me for purchasing this great book.

You entertained us 30 somethings as kids in the wrestling ring, and now you're helping to keep our children healthy...Parents, for your childs health and education, BUY THIS BOOK!!!

...he could have written "Old People Flavor: The Many Recipes of Pro Wrestling's Leaper Featuring the Meat of Our Elderly", and it would have gotten 5 stars from me.

Well, I met Lanny Poffo at Wrestle Reunion and found out about his new book ...here goes. We both hate smoking and I'm glad that he wrote this book. The lymrics were great and smoking is a very serious problem in the world today and I think that teachers should have their classes read this and parents should buy this book as gifts for their children. I hope that Mr. Poffo comes out
with a new book. NWA-TNA wrestling should sign this great talent into their orgaization. I read his first book and enjoyed it. Lanny Poffo is very talented. It's time to end smoking for good and Mr. Poffo is on the right track.

My two kids love this book, and the moral meaning was truly wonderful. They love to share it at school and with their friends. I'm so glad I could find a book for my kids that we both enjoy them reading.

This book helps to talk to our children and teenagers about a serious danger as smoke and it does with a smile. These poems give two positive messages: don't smoke and don't let people who did the wrong choice convince you. Curiosity and pressure are some of the reasons why we start smoking; read these limericks to your children, they can have fun while you teach something serious without pointing your finger and be `the adult'.They learn how to laugh on peer pressure, how silly is to begin and how it could be the beginning of many troubles.
Teenagers, who maybe tried already, would decide to stop with a gag.
In Italy there one more reason to buy this book: new words, rhymes, fun help to improve children's English, reminding them to be a multilanguage, smokefree traveller.
