I saw Men this past weekend in concert. They were the opening act for Peaches, whom I LOVE! I wasn't expecting much when Men came on stage, but I was happy to have a distraction from standing and staring at the stage while waiting for Peaches to start. When Men began playing, I was blown away. JD Samson has a really beautiful voice, the music is awesome (electronica, super upbeat and clever) and the show was really entertaining. "Off our Backs" and "Credit Card Babie$" were really awesome songs and I planned to get those singles as soon as the show was over.

Although I wish I had access to more than 4 MP3s right now, I am stoked that both those songs are available now for download. I can't wait for a full album to be released and I'll be following this band to see where they take things. Check out Men--- they are awesome!

MEN are blowing up music...feminist, gay, progressive, and sensationally fun. JD Samson from Le Tigre leads this trio as they get you dancing and get you thinking, all at once! Songs are upbeat, ambient, and well-written, both lyrically and musically. Every track is a winner.
